What is a Jon Boat
Trailer?
By definition a jon boat trailer is
a light weight, fairly narrow boat trailer designed to haul small narrow
boats. These boats generally fall in a size range of between 8 feet and
14 feet. For the most part there is no helm or wheel to navigate the
boat from, simply oars or if motorized the motor will have a steering
arm attached.
Jon boats are generally used on ponds, rivers and
small lakes. They are not considered safe for large open bodies of water
unless used within close proximity to the shore.
